Auction Basket Donations

Hello Team Inspire Families!

We are gathering donations for our classroom basket, being auctioned off at the Wilson Family Picnic. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up or brought items in. Items can be sent in anytime leading up to or on the day of the Spring Concert, May 11th.

Mrs. Novitski's class basket is an ART theme. If you are able to sign up for an art supply to donate, please visit the Sign-Up Genius Link here:

Ms. Kerekes' class basket is a BOOK CLUB theme. If you are able to sign up for a book club supply to donate, please visit the Sign-Up Genius Link here:

You can also donate money towards the basket and we will purchase the items needed to finalize our basket. If you choose to contribute money, please send the cash in an envelope labeled “Auction Basket” so that we know not to send it with lunch money.

Thank you!

Spring Concert!

The Spring Concert is soon approaching and it's the first grade student's time to shine!

Team Inspire families are invited to attend the performance at 9:30 AM on Thursday, May 11th.

Students should be dressed in nice bright clothing.

If you have any questions regarding the concert specifics, you can E-mail Ms. Alme (music teacher). Her E-mail address is almes@wawmsd.org.

Hope to see you there!

Student of the Month

Congratulations to the following Team Inspire students for being nominated for Student of the Month:

Arieliz
Nick
Clare
Maggie

The PBIS team has chosen Mac as the first grade Student of the Month!

We are so proud of all of the students for their hard work being responsible, respectful and safe!

Fresh Air

We are still going outside every day for recess at least once, but most days, twice! Please make sure that despite the warm days we have had, your child comes to school with winter gear on the cold days so they are comfortable outside!

There is snow on the way this week!

Word Work

We work on our different word patterns for work that we call "Word Work".  Each student works on word patterns that are individual to their needs. They work on sorting, writing, identifying and using their words throughout the week.

One day, the students wrote their words in shaving cream!

Math Updates!

The Team Inspire students are working hard in math working on time and measurement!

You can help them at home by asking them time related real-world questions. For example: "It's 7:00 and in one hour we are going to leave the house for school. What time will that be?" At the end of the unit, they should feel confident with telling time on the hour and half hours.

Here are some of the students using their hands and feet to measure distances around our room!
